Donald Heidbreder, 46, of 806 Eastern Air Drive, was charged with first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of third-degree domestic assault.

Heidbreder was being held Wednesday in the Cole County Jail on $150,000 bond.

According to a Jefferson City police probable cause statement, the incident started around 6 p.m. Monday.

Heidbreder reportedly was intoxicated and involved in multiple physical confrontations with family members.

When officers reached the home, Heidbreder was in a bedroom with the child and a gun.

Heidbreder eventually was taken into custody -- after being Tasered twice, running down the hallway in the home and having to be fought to be arrested.
