Mysterious sounds will pour out of the Simonsen Ninth Grade Center auditorium at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The Jefferson City Symphonic Band will open its first full season with a 45-minute concert, featuring traditional band literature, a couple of Halloween-appropriate tunes and excerpts from "Phantom of the Opera."
"I've never met a person who didn't like "Phantom,'" said conductor Steve Eubanks. "It will be a short concert we think people will enjoy."
