3 more indicted in NYC anti-gay attacks; 7 accused

NEW YORK (AP) - A teenager and two men have been indicted by a grand jury in the anti-gay gang attacks in New York City earlier this month.

Bronx District Attorney Robert Johnson announced the indictments Thursday on various charges including gang assault, robbery and sexual abuse. The three newest defendants and four other defendants indicted earlier this week are to be arraigned Nov. 23.

Authorities say a group of men calling themselves the Latin King Goonies discovered one of their teen recruits was gay. Prosecutors say they attacked him, then went after a 30-year-old man who supposedly had a sexual encounter with the teen. Two others were also attacked.

Charges against four other young men arrested in the attacks were dismissed this week.
