DNR cites owner of former JC tire shop

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has referred the case against a Jefferson City man to the Missouri attorney general's office, alleging violations of Missouri's Solid Waste Management Law and regulations in his handling of scrap tires.

According to a DNR press release, the department referred the case against Dave Pearon alleging that he accumulated and then abandoned scrap tires in violation of solid waste law.

Pearon operated Dave's Tire Shop and More in Jefferson City. After going out of business in October 2008, Pearon left approximately 500 scrap tires in a semi trailer on the property.

DNR is responsible for enforcing the state's solid waste management law and regulations.
