Jays blank Waynesville in soccer

WAYNESVILLE, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays improved to 14-6-1 with a 2-0 blanking of the Waynesville Tigers on Monday night.

Claude Ruboneka and Garrett Griggs scored for the Jays, with Tyler Luebbert and Nathan Luebbert getting assists. C.J. Loehner got the shutout in goal for the Jays, his 12th of the season.

The Jays (ranked 13th in the latest Class 3 poll by the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association) will host Rockhurst on Wednesday. Both the varsity and JV games will start at 4 p.m.

In Monday's JV game, the Jays dropped a 2-0 decision to the Tigers.
