4 Jefferson Citians injured in accidents

A Jefferson City woman was treated for serious injuries after crashing her vehicle Friday night in Moniteau County.

According to Missouri Highway Patrol reports, Kristin Karr, 26, was on Missouri 87, a mile north of Route U, around 6:20 p.m.

She went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Karr was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

A Jefferson City man was treated for moderate injuries after crashing his vehicle Sunday morning at U.S. 50 and Murphy Ford Road in Cole County.

According to patrol reports, Robert Chambers, 66, was driving around 7:55 a.m. when he fell asleep, traveled off the right side of the road and struck an embankment.

Chambers was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash. A mother and son from Jefferson City were treated for minor injuries following a two vehicle accident Sunday morning at Charm Ridge Drive and Charm Villa in Cole County. According to patrol reports, an unknown vehicle failed to yield to Lisa Laux, 25, around 9:40 a.m. and struck Laux's vehicle on the passenger side. The other vehicle left the scene and the driver was unknown. Laux and her son, one-year-old Jayden Laux, were both wearing their safety devices when the crash occurred.
