Pioneer Services One of the First to Receive Military Lending Certification for Mortgages

KANSAS CITY, Mo.--(BUSINESS WIRE) --Oct. 19, 2010-- USA Cares, a non-profit organization that assists service members and military families, recently launched a nationwide certification program to educate lenders about the unique financial situation and circumstances faced by military families.

Pioneer Services, which has met the financial needs of the military community for more than two decades, and which offers MidCountry VA Home Loans, has reaffirmed its commitment to the military by being one of the first lenders in the region to have its associates certified under USA Cares' new home lending program. Funded through Fannie Mae, the "Military Family Education for Lenders and Housing Professionals" course is intended to help military families get the expert lending care and customer service they deserve.

"This course aims to put greater numbers of military families into affordable homes through knowledgeable lenders who understand the unique circumstances brought about by military service," stated USA Cares' executive director Bill Nelson.

Earning the USA Cares certification indicates that Pioneer Services, and its associates, have a significant knowledge of the military, will adhere to specific Standards of Practice-along with the company's Code of Conduct for Military Families - and commit to providing superior service to military borrowers. The VA Home Loan program has helped millions of military families realize the dream of home ownership. With the housing market seeing a glut of available properties and historically low interest rates, now is a good time for military families to consider buying a home.

USA Cares is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization, helping post 9/11 military families in all 50 states bear the burdens of service with financial and advocacy support. Their mission: to help with basic needs during financial crisis, to assist combat injured Veterans and their families and to prevent private military home foreclosures and evictions.
