Honduran students wrap up environmental study trip to Jefferson City

One Honduras student visiting Jefferson City over the past week was amazed to see wildlife such as deer and turkeys. The other was surprised what a big river the Missouri is, and how little we use it.

The 16-year-old students are among nearly 70 involved in an after-school program in Honduras called Guaruma, which offers environmental studies as well as classes like computers and English.
