Author Jon Clinch offers insights on one of Mark Twain's most fascinating characters

Like many, Jon Clinch can recall reading the "Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" in grade school and the sympathy he had for the "poor orphaned boy, all alone in an adult world that cared nothing for him."

The inspiration for Clinch's award-winning book "Finn," which has been chosen at Missouri River Regional Library's annual Capital READ selection for the year, came straight from Twain himself and Clinch's desire to know the ins and outs of Finn.
