POLO, Mo. (AP) -- A northwest Missouri woman admits that she embezzled more than $414,000 from a bank where she worked.

Prosecutors say 55-year-old Laurine K. Calvert of Polo pleaded guilty Thursday to embezzling the money from Bank Northwest. She worked for the bank as a teller and bank loan secretary in Polo and Hamilton.

The St. Joseph News-Press reports that Calvert said she embezzled the money during seven years, beginning in February 2003.
