Sailors from USS Jefferson City tour town, area
Sunday, October 17, 2010
Crew members of the USS Jefferson City used their brawn and brain Friday as they cut and nailed boards and plywood and helped to put up a section of wall in the basement of the Habitat for Humanity house.
Commander Ed Anderson decided that if he and his crew from the USS Jefferson City were going to leave their submarine in San Diego, they were going to bring the San Diego weather with them.
Anderson and six member of his crew will spend their time through Tuesday not only enjoying the fine fall weather that Mid-Missouri has to offer, but also a full slate of events in the namesake of their vessel, a treat he said many other crews don't get to enjoy.
