Jefferson City's sidewalk ordinance - no stroll in the park

It took a councillman's vision and 3 1/2 years of work

It has been a rocky path for the issue of sidewalks in Jefferson City. But after 3 1/2 years, it seems to have gained some traction in City Hall.

Jefferson City 3rd Ward Councilman Jim Penfold said the issue of infrastructure -- specifically concerning sidewalks -- has been a pet project of his since he was elected to the council. Penfold said it was his own personal experiences that pushed him to take up the sidewalk cause in the first place.
