Combined festival events create hit
Downtown scene of new Multicultural Fall Festival
Sunday, October 17, 2010
Missouri's first lady Georganne Nixon and Gov. Jay Nixon encourge Madeline Wilson, 8, to turn the apple press to make apple juice Saturday at the Children in Nature Challenge at the Governor's Mansion.
For those who came out to Saturday afternoon's Multicultural Fall Festival in downtown Jefferson City, evidence that there was any kind of change was nowhere to be found.
The event, which brought together the former Downtown Harvest Fest and the Multicultural Festival, was a hit by all accounts. For those in charge of the festival, it was a welcome reward for the hard work that went into bringing the two events together.
