Viasystems' Forest Grove, Oregon, Facility Receives Nadcap Accreditation for Aerospace Quality

ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE) --Oct. 13, 2010-- Viasystems Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAS) announced that its Forest Grove, Oregon, operation has received Nadcap accreditation for electronics. This accreditation signifies that the Forest Grove facility has demonstrated ongoing commitment to quality by satisfying customer requirements and industry specifications.

"The achievement of Nadcap accreditation at our Forest Grove facility independently verifies for our customers that we are a highly capable and reliable supplier who understands and can meet the stringent requirements of the aerospace electronics industry," said David M. Sindelar, Chief Executive Officer of Viasystems. "Earning this accreditation for Forest Grove demonstrates our focus and commitment to growth in the military/aerospace market."

The Forest Grove operation has also earned the following military/aerospace certifications: MIL-PRF 31032 and 31032GI, MIL-PRF 55110 and 55110G, and AS9100. Earlier this year, Viasystems was named the Printed Wiring Board Commodity Supplier of the Year 2010 by Rockwell Collins, a leading military/aerospace OEM, based on quality, delivery, total cost of ownership, lead time and customer service.

"Achieving Nadcap accreditation is not easy: it is one of the ways in which the aerospace industry identifies those who excel at manufacturing quality product through superior special processes. Companies such as Viasystemswork hard to obtain this status and they should be justifiably proud of it," said Joe Pinto, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Performance Review Institute. "PRI is proud to support continual improvement in the aerospace industry by helping companies such as Viasystems be successful and we look forward to continuing to assist the industry moving forward."
