Multicultural Festival, Downtown Harvest Fest now Multicultural Fall Festival

The New Kicker Cloggers of Fulton performed to "Cotton Eye Joe" during the 2009 Harvest Fest in Jefferson City. The festival is combining resources with the Multicultural Festival this year to create the Multicultural Fall Festival on Saturday.

Saturday's Multicultural Fall Festival, which is composed of both the former Multicultural Festival and the Downtown Harvest Fest, brings together the best of each event for a large celebration on the streets of downtown Jefferson City.

Downtown representative Kathy Crow, who had been with the Downtown Harvest Fest, said the combination of the two events just seemed like the natural thing to do. The Festival will run from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday in downtown Jefferson City. Crow noted free parking is available in the city garage, through the entrance on East Capitol Avenue.
