Springfield woman charged in infant son's death

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- A Springfield woman has been charged with killing her infant son.

The Springfield News Leader reported that the second-degree murder count was filed Wednesday against 23-year-old Tatianna Light.

Police received a call Tuesday afternoon from Travis' home about a child who wasn't breathing.

Court documents show that Light initially told responding officers that she found her son rolled over on his stomach and not breathing.

But after being questioned, she reportedly admitted to using pillows to suffocate the baby.

The boy was not yet two months old.
