Softball: Blair Oaks tops South Callaway

MOKANE, Mo. -- Jenna Markway's two-run double in the seventh inning proved to be the game-winner Monday as the Blair Oaks Lady Falcons topped the South Callaway Lady Bulldogs 5-2.

After an RBI by Jessica Fennewald tied it in the top of the seventh, Markway's second hit of the game gave the Lady Falcons the lead for good.

Jordan Marble also had two hits in the win, as did Fennewald. Both of Marble's hits were doubles.

Michaella Forck was the winning pitcher, throwing two scoreless innings of relief. She allowed one walk and struck out two. Brianna Mitchem worked the first five innings, giving up two unearned runs on three hits and two walks. She struck out three.

Blair Oaks (15-7) will wrap up the regular season today at Southern Boone. In Monday's JV game, Blair Oaks was a 6-0 winner. Blake Burks was the winning pitcher. She also had two hits and two RBI. Amy Dorge belted a two-run homer for the Lady Falcons (12-4).
