Dear Editor:
Banning smoking in public may be a politically correct thing to do but it will infringe on people's individual rights.
People should enjoy the right to smoke and drink in a bar. As long as smokers do not force other people to smoke, there should be no ban. Is second smoke dangerous? Perhaps like fumes from a car, but there is no car ban either.
However, a little known fact is the first modern country to have effectively limit smoking was Nazi Germany, needless to say this is not a good precedent.
