FRUITLAND, Mo. (AP) -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released the name of the 4-year-old girl struck and killed by a truck in southeast Missouri.
The patrol says the child, Makayla Overy, was pronounced dead Friday evening about a half hour after emergency crews were called to the Fruitland mobile home park where she was hit by a truck.
The Southeast Missourian reports that there's no indication of whether charges are being filed against the truck driver.
