SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) - Two Branson business owners have pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion charges.
Beth Phillips, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Missouri, said Monday that 59-year-old Thomas Wood pleaded guilty to two counts of income tax evasion. His son, 35-year-old Denver Wood pleaded guilty
to three counts of income tax evasion.
The two men were indicted on the charges in August 2009. They're accused of failing to file income tax on a travel company they operated in Branson.
Under the terms of their plea agreements, the men each agreed to pay back the IRS with interest and penalties. A sentencing hearing has not been scheduled.
