Helias girls doing a lot of running in preseason workouts

Running sprints isn’t on the practice plan. But a lot of running is.

“We are conditioning ourselves at a high rate,” Helias coach Doug Light said as the Lady Crusaders prepared for tonight’s season opener against the Rolla Lady Bulldogs at Rackers Fieldhouse.

Tonight’s varsity game should start around 7:30 p.m., with the junior varsity contest slated for a 6 p.m. tip.
