Stars are falling rapidly at Trinity Lutheran Church - just in time for the Thanksgiving weekend.
Last weekend, a Christmas tree was covered with Gift Stars representing families through the Samaritan Center's annual program, who need a little help this year.
After Thanksgiving Day services, most of those stars will be in the hands of church members eager to provide gifts for these anonymous individuals.
The church in Jefferson City also provides food gift cards through the Trinity School Scrip Program.
"This is for the entire church to take part in," said volunteer Eleanor Klein. "As soon as the stars are out, they look for just the right star."
