Ongoing interest drives Bushman's continued support for Navy

After he graduated from Lincoln University, Sam Bushman slipped on ice over the Thanksgiving weekend, breaking his arm in the fall — and complications meant “I spent about three years in and out of casts (and) that pretty much finished anything” in terms of a military career, he said.

But Bushman is known as an active supporter of the Navy, and he’s been involved in three committees formed to help the support the Navy in its development of three different ships — the supercarrier USS Harry S. Truman and the nuclear submarines USS Jefferson City and USS Missouri.
