Bits of Admiral riverboat in St. Louis auctioned

ST. LOUIS (AP) — The old Admiral riverboat and President casino on the St. Louis riverfront went on the auction block Sunday.

Auction Associates of Highland, Ill., auctioned remnants of the old riverboat and casino, which closed in June. The boat’s former owner, Pinnacle Entertainment, removed the gaming machines earlier.

KMOX reports that the current owner, St. Louis Marine, hired auctioneers to sell the rest.

The auctioneers said the boat’s heavier items like restroom fixtures will be torn out and given to the winning bidders, beginning Monday.
