Don Calvert and Steve Whitlock serve up meals Thursday at the free community meal at Jefferson City's First Baptist Church in the Fellowship Hall. The church will also cook a free Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day.
Lou Willis invited Mary Roling to supper. "I was thrilled she called me," Roling said.
While First Baptist Church served up the meal, Willis served up the conversation Thursday at the church's once-a-month free, community meal.
Willis has charged herself with inviting no less than 15 people each month to the third-Thursday meal.
