Year later, search for NE Missouri woman continues

HANNIBAL, Mo. (AP) - Police in Hannibal say they continue to investigate the disappearance of Christina Whittaker, a year after she was last seen leaving a downtown bar.

Whittaker was 22 when she was reported missing in mid-November 2009. The Hannibal Courier-Post reports that police say in a statement they have pursued leads as recently as this month. The department says it has even followed up on information from psychics.

Witnesses told police that Whittaker was visibly intoxicated when she left the bar on Nov. 13, 2009. She made a cell phone call at 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 14, but hasn't been heard from since.
