Auditor submits budget proposal to Cole County Commission

$58.3 million county budget an increase over 2010 total

A proposed budget of $58.3 million for 2011 was presented to the Cole County Commission on Monday by County Auditor Jim LePage.

The county budget for 2010 was $56.3 million.

In 2011, expenditures look to be around $41 million with revenues totaling about $51 million. There will be more than $11 million in infrastructure projects in the county and more than $13 million in law enforcement activities, which includes funding to allow the new county jail to become fully operational.
