Tigers cruise

Laurence Bowers had 26 points and 14 rebounds to lead No. 15 Missouri to a 115-74 victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Friday night in the Tigers' final exhibition game.

It was close for most of the first half as the Tigers managed just an eight-point halftime lead. Missouri came out of the break with an 18-4 run to pull away for good.

Reserve Michael Dixon added 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting for the Tigers, who shot 56 percent from the field and reached the triple-digit mark for the second time in as many games this preseason.

Phil Pressey added 19 points for the Tigers, while Matt Pressey finished with 15 points.

Freshman guard Jonathan Sharpless led the Lions with 15 points, connecting on all four of his 3-point attempts.

Missouri will begin the regular season Thursday at home against Western Illinois.
