Police investigating armed robbery

Jefferson City police are looking into what appears to have been an armed robbery Thursday morning.

According to police reports, the robbery occurred around 8:50 a.m. at Broadmoor Apartments in the 500 block of Ellis Boulevard.

The female victim, a Jefferson City resident, reported that an unknown male had knocked on her front door. When she answered it, the male displayed a handgun and ordered her onto her bed. The suspect demanded money from the female and the keys to her vehicle.

The male fled the residence with an undisclosed amount of cash and left the victim's keys behind. The male fled the scene in his own vehicle in an unknown direction.

The only description the victim could give of the suspect is that he was a white male and had a mustache.
