Unofficial totals show dedication of community

The Central Missouri United Way hosted a “Thank You” breakfast at the Missouri Farm Bureau on Wednesday morning. The group announced its projected total of $1,626,254 that is based on the campaign that just concluded and includes ongoing campaigns that will remit their contributions later this year.

Though the totals are not final, projections show that the United Way of Central Missouri supporters have once again proved they do not just wear the shirt, they live it.

Ann Bax, president of the United Way of Central Missouri, announced Wednesday the projected totals show the 2010 campaign has so far netted $1,626,254 -- more than $6,000 over the goal of $1.62 million.
