King wins state cross country medal for Lady Jays

The Jefferson City Lady Jays took 10th in the Class 4 State Cross Country Championships at the Oak Hills Golf Center on Saturday, finishing just 33 points behind fifth-place Nerinx Hall.

One Lady Jay who peaked Saturday was Conradette King. The junior closed out a great season by earning all-state honors with her ninth-place finish in 18:56.16.

On the boys side for Jefferson City, Kent Mastroianni, a junior, finished 71st, while senior Isaac Baumann was 120th.
