Friday morning, Fulton police identified the body of a dead homeless man found Thursday as John Alexander, 44, who was from the Fulton area.
Fulton Police Lt. Andre Cook said an investigation has not determined how long the body had been in a vacant lot near 101 E. 10th St. in Fulton.
"We are just waiting for results of the autopsy to tell us more," Cook said.
Fulton police are continuing the investigation into the death.
