The Helias Crusaders dropped a 1-0 decision to the Marshall Owls in the title game of the Class 2 District 11 soccer tournament Thursday night.
The Owls, the tournament's No. 1 seed, score came on a free kick during the first half.
Marshall stopped a Helias penalty kick that would have tied the game.
Helias, the second seed, ends its season at 13-10-1. The Crusaders were aiming for their third straight district soccer championship.
Marshall (22-2) will host Warrensburg in the sectional round of the playoffs Tuesday.

South Callaway landed 12 players on the Mid-Missouri All-Conference teams recently released.
South Callaway went 3-0 to capture the conference championship this season. Southern Boone was second in the conference standings at 2-1, followed by North Callaway (1-2) and Hallsville (0-3).
The Bulldogs (10-1) won the school's first district title and first playoff game with a 41-13 win over Clopton on Monday night. South Callaway will play Monday at Mark Twain.
