‘Smokey’ resurrected for Saturday performance

This Saturday, Scene One Theatre’s Mark Wegman will resurrect his popular two-man show based on his life as a library bookmobile driver.

Wegman and Matt Morris will perform excerpts of “The Day Smokey Died: Memoirs of a Mid-Mo Bookmobile Driver” at Summit Lake Winery in Holts Summit. The event is a dinner theater fundraiser for the Jefferson City Day Care.

As of Tuesday, a few tickets remained. They cost $30, and include dinner. For ticket information, call the day care at 573/636-6461. Doors open at 6 p.m. Dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. and the show will follow.
