Crash kills 2 in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A speeding vehicle spun out of control and hit a tree in Kansas City, killing two men in the vehicle.

Kansas City police said an officer responded to a report of a car driving erratically Sunday morning. The officer pursued the car for about six blocks but the vehicle continued speeding until the driver lost control about a block east of a shopping center.

Witnesses said the vehicle was going about 80- to 100 mph when the accident occurred.

The victims, a 26-year-old male and a 29-year-old male, were dead at the scene.
