It was a matchup of Jays.

The Liberty Blue Jays vs. “red” Jefferson City Lady Jays, but it was the Blue Jays that left the Lady Jays black and blue with a 70-49 win Wednesday in the semifinals of the State Farm Holiday Hoops Invitational at Rackers Fieldhouse.

“They just played better than we did,” Lady Jays coach Shane Meyer said.
