ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) - A 26-year-old man who was on the St. Louis Rams offseason roster has died after being shot outside a Bass Pro Shop in the St. Louis suburb of St. Charles.

Brandon Joyce died Tuesday morning. He had been hospitalized since being shot in the head on Friday.

Three men, all 21, were charged Tuesday with second-degree murder, attempted robbery and armed criminal action. All three are jailed on $1 million bond. A fourth suspect is still at large.

Joyce was from St. Charles and was the son of former St. Louis Cardinals punter Terry Joyce.

He was an offensive tackle signed by Minnesota as an undrafted free agent out of Illinois State in 2008, but didn't make the team. He played for the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League in 2009.
