Missing mother sought in eastern Missouri

HIGH RIDGE, Mo. (AP) — A 26-year-old woman who was last seen more than a week ago driving away from her eastern Missouri apartment is now considered a missing person.

Jefferson County authorities say they don’t suspect foul play at this point, but they hope to hear from anyone with knowledge of the whereabouts of Jessica Eberhardt.

The High Ridge woman left her 6-year-old son with a live-in friend several days before Christmas and said she was driving to a title loan business. She hasn’t been seen since then.

The 6-year-old is now staying with Eberhardt’s parents.

Eberhardt is described as 5-foot-7 and 175 pounds. Her mother says she was driving a 1993 dark Ford Taurus with Missouri plates.
