Special day for the Special Learning Center

On Monday, the Special Learning Center in Jefferson City was host as visitors made it a day to remember for students and staff.

Former Major League Baseball pitcher Tom Henke of Taos presented a $52,500 check representing the proceeds from the annual Tom Henke Golf Tournament.

In addition to Henke and friends from the Cosmopolitan Club, Santa made an appearance and students from Immanuel Lutheran stayed throughout the morning to help with duties at the school.

I love that students from Immanuel Honey Creek came and spent some time with these kids. I'm sure they loved it!!

I would not hesitate to send my kids to Immanual - Honey Creek! They learn academics, religion, and character there.
