Jefferson City could lose cross country championships

An event that has been a mainstay in Jefferson City for 35 years may find a new home.

For the first time in the event's history, the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) is accepting requests for proposal (RFP) for the right to host the state cross country meet. The meet has been hosted at the Oak Hills Golf Center since 1976.

However, just because the meet is being bid out, that does not mean that Jefferson City is going to let it go without a fight.
