Jefferson City Schools Superintendent Brian Mitchell is staying at least one more year.
In a closed meeting Monday evening, the school board unanimously offered to extend Mitchell's contract until June 30, 2014.
"I think I speak for all the board members when we say we're extremely pleased with Dr. Mitchell's performance," Board President Duane Schreimann explained.
