DETROIT (AP) - Jonathan Quick made 51 saves for his 10th NHL shutout, and defenseman Drew Doughty had three assists in the Los Angeles Kings' 5-0 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Monday night.

Anze Kopitar had two goals, and Wayne Simmonds, Oscar Moller and Jack Johnson also scored for Los Angeles, which has won four of five overall and four straight against the Red Wings. Dustin Brown added two assists to help Quick earn his second shutout this season.

Quick stopped 26 shots in the second period.

Jimmy Howard made 21 saves in taking the loss for the Red Wings.

Predators 5, Islanders 0

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Anders Lindback made 28 saves to record his second consecutive shutout, and Patric Hornqvist had two goals to lead Nashville over the New York Islanders.

The Predators have won three straight and they are 6-0-2 in their last eight games. New York has lost six in a row and 20 of 21 (1-17-3).

Sergei Kostitsyn, Jerred Smithson, and Nick Spaling also scored for Nashville.

New York is 0-15-2 in games it trailed 1-0.

Lindback made it back-to-back shutouts two nights after stopping 22 shots in a win over the Florida Panthers on Saturday. The rookie from Sweden has won three straight and is 4-0-1 since taking over for No. 1 Predators goalie Pekka Rinne, who is out with a knee injury.

Thrashers 4, Senators 3, OT

OTTAWA (AP) - Bryan Little scored his second goal of the game 1:09 into overtime to give Atlanta a win over Ottawa.

Little jumped on Ottawa center Jason Spezza's no-look pass in the Atlanta zone and drove down the right side before firing a shot past Senators goalie Brian Elliott.

Dustin Byfuglien had a goal and an assist for Atlanta, which recovered from blowing a 3-0 lead. Byfuglien assisted on Little's goal late in the first period and scored his ninth goal 17:38 into the second to give the Thrashers the big lead.

Jim Slater also had a goal, and Chris Thorburn had two assists in the first period.

Ondrej Pavelec made 27 saves for Atlanta, which has won 10 of 12.

Avalanche 7, Blackhawks 5

DENVER (AP) - Tomas Fleischmann and Matt Duchene scored one minute apart late in the third period to help Colorado rally past Chicago.

Colorado trailed 5-4 with 2:24 remaining, but Fleischmann tied it by beating screened goalie Corey Crawford. Duchene added the game winner 60 seconds later, scoring for the second time in the game.

Ryan O'Reilly added an insurance goal in the final seconds, with Crawford on the bench, as the Avalanche won their third straight game.

Brandon Yip, Paul Stastny and Cody McLeod also had goals for the Avalanche, the NHL's second-highest scoring team. Craig Anderson stopped 27 shots.

The Avalanche chased starting goalie Marty Turco 40 seconds into the second period.

Flames 3, Blue Jackets 2, OT

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) - Jarome Iginla's second goal of the game at 3:49 of overtime gave Calgary a victory over Columbus.

Calgary led 2-0 less than 5 minutes in, but the Blue Jackets rallied and tied it in the third period.

After waiting over 55 minutes to receive a power play, Columbus needed only 28 seconds of its first advantage to tie the game at 2 on Rick Nash's goal.

Brendan Morrison also scored for Calgary.

Antoine Vermette added a goal for the Blue Jackets, who have lost four straight on the road after winning eight of their first nine this season away from Columbus.

Stars 3, Sharks 2, SO

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) - Jamie Benn netted the first goal of the game and then scored again in the shootout to help Dallas beat San Jose.

Brad Richards also scored the tiebreaker, and Andrew Raycroft stopped Ryane Clowe in the third round to give the Stars their second shootout victory in three games.

Mike Ribeiro added a goal in regulation for the Stars.

Derek Joslin scored his first NHL goal, and Clowe also found the back of the net for the Sharks, who lost for the second time in five games. Clowe has points in five straight games and seven of eight.

Raycroft, in his fourth straight start, stopped 31 shots - including a series of point-blank saves that got the game into overtime.

Antti Niemi made 29 saves for the Sharks.
