Ex-girls track coach pleads guilty in child porn

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A former high school girls track coach in the St. Louis area has pleaded guilty to attempting to possess child pornography.

Federal prosecutors say in a news release that 32-year-old Kurtis W. Neely of Raymore pleaded guilty Wednesday to engaging in a sexually explicit online chat with what he believed was a 14-year-old girl. The person was a police officer.

Neely, who formerly coached at St. Joseph's Academy in Frontenac, faces a sentence of five to 20 years in federal prison. Sentencing has not been scheduled.
