Callaway Countians win lottery prizes

A dozen Callaway County residents won more than $1,000 each by participating in Missouri Lottery games last month.

The Missouri Lottery has released the names of Missouri Lottery players who won more than $1,000 each. Thousands of other prizes of less than $1,000 also were awarded during November, according to spokeswoman Holly Koofer-Thompson.

The Missouri Lottery paid out a total of $3.7 million in prizes during November.

John Marty Jr. of Fulton was the biggest Missouri Lottery winner in Callaway County, winning $5,000 in a Scratchers game.

Patricia Atterberry of Fulton won $3,125 as a Pick 4 game winner.

Doris Dudley of Fulton won $3,000 in the Scratchers game.

Nine other Callaway County residents won $1,000 each playing the lottery's Scratchers game. They are: Jerry Smith and Cherri Sorell, both of Auxvasse; Willis Keeth, Gordon Plaster and Bharat Saheba, all of Fulton; and Matthew Coons, Megan Cox, Dirk Smith and Joyce Thomson, all of Holts Summit.
