Habitat chapter nailing down 70th build
Organizers seeking variety of volunteers for project
Wednesday, December 8, 2010
Plans are under way for the River City Habitat for Humanity’s 70th local build, which equals its 140th in reality, as for every home built here, a tithe goes to build another overseas.
“The Jefferson City House” at 819 Clark Ave. will be rehabilitated next year. Organizers invite individuals, churches, civic groups and schools to pitch in with donations, work parties and other forms of volunteering.
Pledge cards will be available in the Thursday and Sunday News Tribune newspaper, as well as at www.rivercityhabitat.org.
