Wreath for Nixon a reminder of veterans’ service
Every governor receives one as part of Wreaths Across America
Tuesday, December 7, 2010
Gov. Jay Nixon played host to Missouri Patriot Guard Riders on Monday, as they dedicated a wreath to honor and remember Missouri’s veterans.
Similar ceremonies were held in each state capital Monday, as the Wreaths Across America presented a wreath to each of the 50 U.S. governors.
Joe Smith of Lake Ozark, representing the Patriot Guard Riders, led a brief ceremony in Nixon’s office, using the same words as others across the country.
