Miller County hit for poor bookkeeping by auditor

Miller County officials must improve their bookkeeping skills, State Auditor Susan Montee reported last week.

The auditor’s office isn’t accusing anyone in Miller County of misusing the money or taking it.

Spokeswoman Allison Bruns said: “The truth is that since no documentation exists, we can’t really say if money was misappropriated because we have no evidence to support that due to the lack of records.”
