Jefferson City races open regional speedskating season

Some skaters had come a long way for the 14th annual Capital City Speedskating Championships, hosted by the Jefferson City Speed Skating Club. The event drew about 100 skaters who sped around the ice in 40 races, ranging in length from 100 to 1,500 meters.
