COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Danielle Adams had 19 points and 10 rebounds and Tyra White added 17 points as No. 7 Texas A&M overcame a poor second-half start in a 74-58 win over California on Saturday.

The Golden Bears (5-2) took advantage of five Texas A&M turnovers to go on an 11-0 run in the first four minutes of the second half and take a 40-38 lead.

The Aggies (6-0) responded with a 12-1 run to go back on top 50-41 with 13 1/2 minutes to play. Texas A&M outscored California 8-4 over the next few minutes to stretch the lead to 58-45 with 9 minutes remaining.

The Golden Bears were led by Layshia Clarendon who had 19 points and DeNesha Stallworth added 14 points.

Adams got two fouls early and played less than 8 minutes in the first half.

No. 15 Florida State 68, Western Carolina 48

CULLOWHEE, N.C. (AP) - Alexa Deluzio scored 12 points, and No. 15 Florida State pulled away late in a 68-48 victory against Western Carolina on Saturday.

Courtney Ward added 11 points and three 3-pointers, and Cierra Bravard had 10 points for the Seminoles (7-1). They never trailed, shot nearly 47 percent and used a big run down the stretch to bounce back from a loss to No. 25 Michigan State.

Western Carolina pulled to 50-46 on Hunnicutt's free throw with 9:31 left, but managed just one field goal the rest of the way. The Seminoles scored 14 straight points over the next 6:42.

Diamond Hunnicutt scored 13 points to lead Western Carolina (1-5). The Catamounts shot just 23 percent in the second half but were denied the program's second victory over a nationally ranked opponent.

No. 20 St. John's 66, Boston 42

BOSTON (AP) - Da'Shena Stevens and Centhya Hart had 15 points apiece for No. 20 St. John's.

Sky Lindsay scored 11 for the Red Storm (7-1), who forced 21 turnovers and outrebounded the Terriers 43-35. Shenneika Smith finished with nine points, seven rebounds, four assists and five steals.

Alex Young led Boston with 11 points and five assists but committed six turnovers. The Terriers (2-6) shot 28 percent (15 for 53) from the field.

St. John's took control with a 26-5 run in the first half. Eugenia McPherson capped the surge with a free throw that made it 32-12 with 4:23 left.

The Red Storm dominated inside, outscoring Boston 38-12 in the paint.
