Two injured in area accidents

A Gravois Mills man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 11:35 a.m. Thursday on Missouri 5, south of Versailles, in Morgan County.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1987 Dodge Ram, driven northbound by Gene F. Andrews, 65, ran off the right side of the road when Andrews suffered an apparent heart attack. The vehicle then struck a rock bluff and overturned, ejecting Andrews.

He was flown to University Hospital in Columbia. He was not wearing a seat belt.

A Hermann man was injured in a one-car accident at 12:10 a.m. Friday on Missouri 100, east of Frene Creek Road, in Gasconade County.

The patrol reported a 2007 Chevrolet, driven westbound by William C. Riley, 22, traveled off the right side of the road and overturned. Riley was taken to Hermann Hospital.
